Sublet is a 10 minute film directed and written by Nicole Di Donato. Aspiring journalist and clean freak, Paige, moves into an apartment with two guys she has never met. One is a stoner that always has the munchies (Bud) and the other is a player that always has different girls over at the apartment (Ethan). The film explores their relationship as roommates and how they learn to compromise.

Hunger is a music video montage, directed and written by Nicole Di Donato. The film explores the high and low points of a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship through a series of flashbacks and dance sequences. The couple knows they’re bad for each other, but their hunger for love and fear of loneliness prevents them from letting go of the relationship.

Atypical Morning is a silent continuity short film, directed and written by Nicole Di Donato. Jennifer wakes up and goes about her day as she would any other morning, but something doesn’t feel quite right. A series of suspicious things take place, revealing a shocking twist.

Ryerson School of Journalism

Rene St. Gelais is a hockey mom. With her three kids in hockey, she spends most of her nights and weekends at the rink. But, this isn't unusual in the town of Stouffville, Ontario. Hockey is a lifestyle for most families in this town.

Nicole created this documentary alongside four of her classmates as part of the TV documentary course at Ryerson University. Nicole reported, wrote the script, conducted the interviews and helped shoot and edit the video (premiered on November 27, 2018).
