Nicole Di Donato is a video journalist with CTV News Saskatoon. Originally from Toronto, Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in public relations from Ryerson University in 2019. From a young age, Nicole knew she wanted to work in the television and film industry. She got her start by acting in a series of commercials on both the Family Channel and on YTV. Nicole then discovered her passion for broadcast journalism after completing a summer co-op at Rogers Television Mississauga in 2014, where she got experience as an on-camera reporter and a producer's assistant.
Before joining the CTV Saskatoon team, Nicole worked at the CTV News Northern Ontario bureau in Sault Ste. Marie, where she got the opportunity to report on a wide range of stories for the air and for the web. Nicole has also made an effort to get involved behind the camera. She was the Floor Director of CHIN TV's two-hour live television show, Festival Italiano di Johnny Lombardi, for almost four years. Nicole also completed an 8-week intensive filmmaking workshop at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California in the summer of 2018. There, she got experience directing, writing, and shooting her own original films.
Nicole has had a passion for performing and writing for as long as she can remember and looks forward to a future of storytelling!
