Worked as a video journalist in CTV Northern Ontario's bureau in Sault Ste. Marie. Pitched, researched and developed original stories. Wrote, shot, voiced and edited video for the noon, 5, 6 and 11:30 p.m. newscasts. Utilized Atlas software and operated ENG equipment.

Attended story meetings and pitched hard news and feature stories that were relevant to people in Saskatchewan. Set up and conducted interviews. Wrote scripts in iNews and edited video using Velocity for the noon, 5, 6 and 11:30 p.m. newscasts. Reported on stories for video and web on a daily basis. 

Maintained order on the floor and gave cues to the hosts while they were on the air. Put lavalier microphones on the hosts and guests as well as set up the studio prior to the show. Announced contest winners live on the air at the end of each show and had the opportunity to host one of the segments.

Worked closely with the video team to produce weekly broadcasts and daily morning updates. Assigned stories to reporters, created and maintained weekly schedules, produced graphics for various segments. Reported, filmed and edited video stories. Anchored weekly newscast and hosted segments like weather and trending. 

Reported and pitched stories that were relevant to the Ryerson and downtown community. Found interview subjects and came up with questions. Did in-depth research about story topics and gathered key facts. Wrote scripts and recorded voice overs. Edited video using Adobe Premiere Pro. 

Corresponded with labels and artists from across Canada. Put together CJRU's weekly top 30 chart. Reviewed and added new local and international music to the station's music library. Digitized CDs and set up interviews with Canadian artists and bands. Edited and posted album and concert reviews on the CJRU website.

Created and hosted an hour-long radio show called Arts & Culture on the Morning Mixtape. Wrote scripts and conducted live interviews in the studio with Canadian artists and bands. Began each show with a 10-minute news update featuring weather, sports and local news highlights. Edited audio using Audacity and Adobe Audition.
